You will be embedded within the Solution team, reporting to a Business Solution Lead. The team acts as a strategic bridge between Opensee's technology capabilities and the business priorities of our clients and prospects. Its core activities include:
Pre-sales enablement: crafting compelling use-case demonstrations, building proof-of-concepts, preparing product presentations, and conducting gap analyses for prospective clients
Product shaping: contributing to the roadmap for new use cases and features, from data modelling and financial metric design to user interface configuration
As a Business Solution Engineer Intern, your responsibilities will span the following areas:
Platform Mastery : Develop a thorough understanding of the Opensee platform: system architecture, deployment model, data ingestion pipelines, data modelling principles, and Python-based calculation engines.
Business Deep-Dive : Build solid knowledge of banking book risk topics, with a primary focus on ALM & Treasury, Liquidity Risk, Credit Risk, and ESG-related risk dimensions. Understand the associated regulatory landscape, business pain points, and how data-driven analytics can address them.
Use-Case Design & Implementation : Take ownership of designing and delivering a new analytical use case end-to-end: data specification, data model creation, synthetic data generation, metric implementation, performance optimization, UI configuration, and development of advanced Python calculators or models.
Product Feedback Loop : Channel insights from your work and from client interactions back to the product team, helping shape feature priorities and inform the development roadmap.
Presentation & Communication : Actively contribute to internal and external presentations of your use case. Prepare and maintain the associated documentation and demo materials to a high standard.
Technology : Big Data ecosystems, SQL, Python (advanced), software delivery practices
Finance : ALM & Treasury analytics, Liquidity and Credit Risk metrics (Banking Book), ESG risk integration, Balance Sheet Management
Project Leadership : End-to-end demo preparation, cross-team coordination, roadmap management, stakeholder communication
Mandatory
Final-year Master's student in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance from a leading Grande École or university
Strong analytical mindset with excellent numerical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of SQL
Genuine interest in Finance and Technology, curiosity about how data and analytics reshape banking is essential
Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken
A collaborative and outgoing personality, you enjoy telling a story, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and are comfortable presenting to both internal teams and external clients
A Plus
Prior exposure (internship, academic project, or personal initiative) to a financial institution, fintech, or data/software vendor
Familiarity with banking book risk concepts (ALM, liquidity, credit) or ESG frameworks
Location: Paris, La Défense
Contract: End-of-studies internship (a valid French convention de stage is mandatory)
Duration: 6 months minimum
